The sequel of The Conjuring (2013) in 2016, The Conjuring 2, is an extremely scary movie in which James Wan, the director, presents two real-life ghost hunters named Ed and Lorraine. The supernatural powers displayed in the movie explain the true meaning of horror and fear. The scenes of throwing furniture, attacking humans, biting humans, supernatural activities by ghosts, and nightmare are the jump-shock scenes that make the movie lovable crazily to the horror-movies lovers.
The director’s idea, talent, thoughts, and teamwork are adorable that it scares even fearless persons. James Wan cinematic fear sense recalls the “Poltergeist” and “The Omen,” the hit, top-class horror movies of 20’s century.
Characters
The four siblings, including the main character Janet and their mother Peggy, who is nurturing them independently, are the movie’s significant roles, along with ghostbusters.
Story Of The Conjuring 2
Ed and Lorraine were investigating at the very start of the film at Amityville house, sitting in front of a table, and Lorraine tries to connect with the demon’s soul. She gets frightened by seeing the demon and the death scene of Ed especially.
One night, Janet and her sister Margaret play with a spirit board and question spirits about their father returning home, but they get no response. After that night, unusual things like the beating of the door, finding themselves at some other place than where they slept, moving swing, moving the sofa, changing TV channels, and much more horrifying start happening.
A man’s spirit, having the power to take complete control of Janet’s body, does so many times and tries to convey her message through her; thus, her voice turns into an older man’s voice, and it is also recorded. Hodgson’s family’s neighbor believes them, and then they call for the police. Shouting sounds, a moving chair, etc., when police see, says this matter is beyond them.
When the family spends the night in the neighbor’s house, one more fact reveals another spirit’s presence, i.e., Crook man’s soul.
In a scene, Ed paints a spirit by telling Lorraine that he dreamt this spirit; Lorraine clearly understands that it is a demonic nun’s painting. Loraine gets worried after this and decides not to handle paranormal cases for some time.
Because of uncommon activities, the local authorities ask Ed and Loraine to come to England to solve this family’s critical problem. At last, Loraine agrees, and they make the trip. Before the trip to England, she tells Ed about the demonic nun and his death vision.
Roles Of Ed And Loraine
Peggy and Janet tell every detail to ghost hunters, even the sofa on which the older man sits. Ed and Loraine make Janet sit on the sofa, contact the soul, and the soul answers. But Loraine doesn’t feel any supernatural being. According to the camera’s recordings, this all is nothing else than Janet’s drama.
Loraine gets a vision after leaving Peggy’s house in which the older man tells her that he is leaving the house, but she will not let him go. Here, Loraine comes to know about the older man’s usage and the crook man as pawns and the reason prevailing behind it, i.e., no one gets reach to the demonic nun.
The roles of ghostbusters are interesting, and some young ones call them role models. The actors perform their roles in the movie beautifully act on it, and they really need to be appreciated.
Last Scene
Ed and Loraine reach Peggy’s house in the last scene, where Janet is locked because of the demonic nun’s control. Ed chooses the basement’s way to save her because all other routes have been blocked and go into the house, even stopping Loraine from going alone in the house.
Loraine remembers the demonic nun’s name and how to weak the evil spirit. The outside tree gets the visualized shape of Loraine by the fall of lightning from the sky suddenly, which further makes her worried. On the other side, Ed tries to save Janet’s life when she jumps from the window, and both were hung. At that moment, Loraine appears in Janet’s room, calls the demonic nun by her real name “Valak,” and asks her to go back to hell.
The demonic nun finally has to go to hell, Loraine succeeds in saving both Ed and Janet’s lives, and everything becomes normal.
